The inhabitants of a small farm in Alabaster, Alabama are no strangers to destruction and loss. But when an outsider arrives to help them make sense of the past, they must confront their mortality and deal with the trauma head-on. Through laughter, tears, and even a couple of talking goats, Audrey Cefaly weaves a darkly comic southern tale of redemption that examines how one reassembles the pieces of a broken heart.
ALABASTER is produced at Salt Lake Acting Company as a part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere. Other partnering theaters are Florida Repertory Theatre (Fort Myers), Capital Stage (Sacramento), 16th Street Theater (Berwyn IL), Kitchen Dog Theater (Dallas), ShrewdProductions (Austin), Know Theatre of Cincinnati, Phoenix Theatre (Indianapolis), Williamston Theatre (Michigan), and New Jersey Repertory Company (Long Branch). From March 12 through 20, Salt Lake Acting Company is pleased to present the world premiere of FOUR WOMEN TALKING ABOUT THE MAN UNDER THE SHEET by Elaine Jarvik.
On the morning of February 21, 1895, the day after the great man died, Susan B. Anthony shows up on his widow’s doorstep. She is there to grieve — but is she also feeling guilty? FOUR WOMEN TALKING ABOUT THE MAN UNDER THE SHEET is an exploration of feminism and race, asking “what compromises should you make in pursuit of a cause?”

Salt Lake Acting Company--Utah’s leading destination for brave, contemporary theatre--presents the world premiere of FORM OF A GIRL UKNOWN by Charly Evon Simpson from October 16 through November 17, 2019.
Amali is twelve years old, she is wise, and she is fascinated – by A Midsummer Night’s Dream; by her changing body; by the story of the children killed in the woods. With humor, magic, blood, and fire, this play is not your typical coming-of-age story.

Full Cast Revealed for SATURDAY'S VOYEUR 2019
Casting for the 41st-annual production of one of the country's longest-continuing parodies, SATURDAY'S VOYEUR, has been solidified. Making their VOYEUR debuts are Daisy Allred, Aalliyah Ann*, Bradley Hatch, Matthew Tripp, Julie Silvestro Waite*, and Jacob Weitlauf. Also joining the cast are Fiona Hannan and Madi Cooper, who made their SLAC debuts earlier this season in PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL and THE WOLVES, respectively.
The returning creative team includes SLAC's Executive Artistic Director Cynthia Fleming (director) and Michael Leavitt (music director).
SATURDAY'S VOYEUR 2019 makes its world premiere at Salt Lake Acting Company June 26 - September 1. Tickets can be purchased here.
